July Newsletter

Greetings everyone from Isaiah 61 Life Intl.  It’s been a busy season for us as we are still growing the ministry.  Here is the latest news.

Workshops:

Richard Soikkeli completed phase 1 of his “Foundations” workshop and is now engaged in the practicum phase of the workshop with folks who are intending to become practitioners in inner healing and deliverance prayer.  This workshop started with about 25 people participating in a hybrid training model (in person and online).  Attendees including prayer ministry participants across multiple churches: Presbyterian, Assembly of God, Foursquare, Episcopal and Friends Community Fellowship.  We are blessed and excited to partner with these folks as they bring Inner Healing and Deliverance prayer into their respective places of worship.  We love how God is connecting us with Christian fellowships across denominational lines and bringing together a delightful unity of believers through this ministry.

Bob Morita also completed phase 1 of his “Transformed” workshop for the prayer team at Anaheim Revive Church (ARC). This workshop is also entering into the practicum phase.  The pastors of the ARC have embraced the Inner Healing and Deliverance prayer model, and all the pastors have been prayer recipients as well as some members of their board of elders.

For those of you wondering what the difference is between these two workshops it is as similar and different as Richard is from Bob.  Both classes teach on the foundations of Isaiah 61 Life yet through their personal history, gifting and personality you will find each workshop is unique.  Both love Jesus, rely on the leading of the Holy Spirit and are grounded in scripture.  From a personality type assessment Richard is more “right-brained” whereas Bob is more “left-brained”.  Richard will likely use the Psalms more than Bob.  Bob will likely use the Pauline letters more than Richard. Bob will take a more analytical approach in teaching while Richard will paint pictures with words.  The practicum phase of the training allows each person in the workshop to lead a prayer session and also be a recipient of a session.  Both Bob and Richard encourage participants to use their unique gifting, history and personality in how they interact with the Holy Spirit and the person receiving prayer – you do not have to be gifted or have similar experiences and personalities as Richard and/or Bob to be an effective prayer leader.  But you do need to practice and its always a good idea to work with a partner (preferably one with more experience if possible) when you start out.

If you (and/or your church/prayer team) is interested in attending a workshop either in person (only available in Southern CA) or virtually, please contact us at Team@Isaiah61life.org.  Although we have not yet scheduled our next workshop, we are anticipating either a Foundations or Transformed workshop for late summer or early fall.

Prayers:

We continue to have prayer sessions across the US and internationally.  Over the last three months, we have been privileged to pray for folks in Egypt, Ireland and Uganda.  Since Susie Haro joined our team, we can now offer prayer in English and in Spanish.  With her addition, we had our first session with someone in Spain.  If you or someone you know is interested in receiving prayer, go to our website to find all the necessary information you need to make an appointment: https://www.isaiah61life.org/

Website Updates:

We are slowly updating our website and adding more content.  We have added Susie Haro’s bio and there have been a couple new blog posts on “Spiritual Warfare” that is now available.  Keep coming back to our website to find more new content and updates.

Praise Reports:

We have much to be thankful for.  We appreciate all of you that have been a recipient of our prayers and have written back to us giving us your updates.  We delight with you and cherish the tender moments of healing and praise you share with us whether it’s the birth of child or the smallest break throughs in health or relational reconciliation. We praise God for his mercy and love. We are thankful for the donors who have blessed us financially.  May God bless you with his peace and favor. We are thankful for all who continue to pray for us as we stand against the gates of Hades to set the captives free.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep our ministry in your prayers.  We have encountered significant warfare as we continue to pray for people in the US as well as internationally.  While I cannot get into specifics, please pray for breakthrough for the folks we are engaged with who suffer from both physical, spiritual and relational issues.  Please pray that the IRS will add us to their Tax-Exempt Registry (although we have received a letter of approval legally qualifying us as a 501(c)3 entity their registry has not been updated).

Contact Us:

Whether you are new to this ministry or have been partnered with us, we would love to hear from you.  If there are specific things you would like to explore with us let us know.

Much blessing and peace to you.

Your friends at Isaiah 61 Life Intl.
